How to Start Potatoes

 

Potatoes are a great crop to grow in containers. If you plant spouted potatoes in early spring, they will grow quickly, beginning to provide potatoes in as early as 2 to 3 months. Learn how to start potatoes in container garden trash cans.

Recommended Supplies to Build Your Own Potato Grow System See:

  •  20-gallon trash cans
  • Fill Half-way with potting soil and Organic Compost Fertilizer
  • Watering PVC Grid Supplies: 3/4 Inch PVC, PVC Glue and Cleaner, PVC 3/4 in Slip x Hose Female or PVC 3/4 in Slip x Hose Male Fittings, Garden Hose Shutt-off Valves, Quick Connect Garden Fittings, 3/4 Inch PVC Threaded Tees, Garden to Threaded PVC Nipples, and Adjustable Hose Nozzles.
